Open Position - Fabric Challenge Co-ordinator

We are in need of someone to co-ordinate the annual small quilt fabric challenge.  She will select the theme, create and distribute the quilt directions and guidelines, provide ballots, arrange for the quilts to be displayed at the December tea and annual quilt show, and keep the newsletter and web site co-ordinators informed with updates.  You can find a complete description of this position in the white Help Wanted binder on the library cart.  If you are interested or have any questions, please contact the previous co-ordinator, Cathy Demeo.

Block of the Month - Lynne Smith and Phyllis Kulig

Again, we are overwhelmed about the response to the Block(s) of the Month.  Only one block was presented in December (hearts for February), and the March Block of the Month will be presented on January 5th.  We will finish the “year” with two Blocks of the Month in February and March (April/May and June/July), which “should” allow time for our projects to be shown at the end-of-year luncheon.  Thanks to everyone for making this assignment so much fun for us.

Charity Quilts -  Wendy Rippon

For those who would like to start getting materials for the March quilt or charity quilts, you will need the following:
  • For the larger version (for yourself), you will need a Jelly Roll or forty (40) 2-1/2" x 40" strips.
  • For the smaller sized charity quilts, you will need twenty (20) 2-1/2" x 40" strips.
