Nancy Ellis is this years organizer for Block of the Month.  She will being presenting a different block to make each month.  Members are encourage to do as many blocks as they like.  Each month there will be a drawing for the blocks.  In June, there will be 3 gift certificated give to the top 3 block makers.  Complete information can be found below.

BLOCK of the MONTH

PARTICIPATE IN BLOCK OF THE MONTH THIS YEAR YOU CAN EARN POINTS TO GO FABRIC SHOPPING ON PCCQ IN JUNE!

1.  Block Pattern:  A different block pattern will be available the first meeting of each month.  Occasionally there will be two blocks - one pieced and one appliqued.  A completed sample of the block will be on display.  Printed instructions will be included: a list of materials needed, directions for constructing the block, along with suggestions for color palate.  Pictures and diagrams will be included as appropriate.

2.  Fabric:  Pieces of fabric - backgrounds and/or pattern pieces for each block - will be available for you to pick up if you wish each month.

3.  Keeping a Record of Blocks You Make:  There will be a "Block of the Month" check sheet right next to the PCCQ attendance sheet where you can find our name and enter how many blocks you have made each month.  This is importance because the top three "block makers" will be rewarded with a gift certificate to a quilt shop of their choice in June!

4.  Block Drawings:  Pin your name to each completed block and place it on the "Block of the Month" display board.  Blocks will be on display during the meeting with drawing during PCQ's second meeting each month.

5.  Blocks by Mail:  If you are unable to attend a meeting and wish to have info on the month's block contact me (phone or e-mail nancyellis@comcast.net) and I will get the instructions to you.  You can also get the info from our web site:  pccq.net
